37 Jesus replied: “‘Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.' 38 This is the first and greatest commandment. 39 And the second is like it: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’ 40 All the Law and the Prophets hang on these two commandments.” - Matthew 37-40 NIV
Our relationship with God does not need to be complicated. It should not be complicated. Jesus simplifies it pretty well for us. Love God and love others. His love is simple also. Our assurance of God's love evolves not from wordy arguments or complicated ideas. We know of our Creators presence because we have been touched by grace. The simple things that come from our faith have the greatest lasting influence over our lives. What blessings have you received from the hand of God? What is the most endearing result of your faith? If these things are so important to us, why cannot simple things be important to others. Keep it simple. That is what will stick with those we serve.
